Call for Nominations: Colorado Pharmacists Society Board of Directors

The Colorado Pharmacists Society Board of Directors nominations process is now open!! We are seeking nominations for candidates to stand for election to the Board. This is an anonymous process and self-nominations are welcome.

Member engagement is critical to the success of the society, and the Board relies upon your recommendations for strong candidates. We also strive to reflect the diversity of practice settings and are specifically in need of community and independent pharmacy representation in 2019.  However, we will take nominations from all practice settings.

Board member expectations

In addition to position specific duties, Board members are expected to:

  • Attend and actively participate at majority of Board meetings. The Board of Directors meets the 3rd Thursday of every other month starting in January from 6-8:30 PM.
  • Participate on at least one CPS Committee or Academy


Available Board Positions – To start in June 2019 at the Annual Meeting

  • 1-2 Member at Large Pharmacist positions - three-year terms expiring in June 2022
  • 1 Pharmacy Technician Representative - one-year term expiring in June 2020


Requirements

All nominees (except for technician members) must be active members of CPS for at least 1 year and in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy where licensed.

The Nominating Committee will review all nominations and make recommendations to the Board for a slate of nominees. An election ballot will be circulated to membership and voting will take place January 18 through February 8, 2019.  The Nominating Committee will review the results of the voting and report to the board. Election results will be announced on or before Friday, March 1, 2019.

To meet the needs of a broad and diverse membership in a balanced and equitable way, the Board is composed of a minimum of 12 members and a maximum of 16 members.

  • Academy of Community Pharmacists
