About Us

The Academy of New Practitioners was started in 2012 to aid new practitioners as they forge their way into the diverse field of pharmacy in Colorado. Membership in the Academy is open to any Society member who considers him/herself a new practitioner, generally having graduated from a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program within the past seven years. Whether you are looking for professional development, networking, or mentor opportunities, the Academy of New Practitioners can help you find it.

ANP Pharmacy Pulse

As new practitioners, we experience moments that remind us why we chose this profession, as well as moments that leave us frustrated, uncertain, or wondering if others feel the same way.

The ANP Pharmacy Pulse is a space where new practitioners (or anyone practicing in pharmacy) can anonymously share the highs, lows, questions, and realities of practicing pharmacy. Selected submissions may be discussed during ANP meetings, highlighted in CPS communications, or used to help shape future programming and advocacy efforts. You do not need to have a solution or a perfectly positive story. Sometimes, simply knowing others have experienced something similar can make a difference.
