Advanced Services Resources

Colorado Advanced/Expanded Scope of Practice

CPS prioritizes the optimization of our practice act to allow pharmacists, technicians, and interns to work to the top of their education and training. This page provides information on expanded and advanced services authorized in Colorado through legislation, regulation, and policy updates. It is not exhaustive but highlights recent advances and will be updated as new policies emerge.

Colorado Provider Status and Payment for Services

CPS is committed to advancing payment for clinical services provided by pharmacists and ensuring access to all payment models for the care they deliver. This page offers information and resources on Colorado’s major healthcare payers, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans, as well as considerations for cash-based payment models. For details on federal provider status, see the bottom of this page.

Training Resources

CPS invests in developing and connecting pharmacists with training opportunities that strengthen clinical practice and expand service delivery. This page provides access to specialized programs designed to help pharmacists implement advanced services, enhance their skills, and secure payment for professional care. Programs are tailored to support pharmacists in meeting their practice goals.
